Rl GI Is Killed In Vietnam
John H. Anderson Jr., 20, Wellsville
R1 serviceman who had been overseas only three weeks, was killed May
25 at Phua Thien, Vietnam.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Anderson Sr. He attended Dover
High School, and was an employee of American Machinists Foundry, York,
before entering military service.
He was in training at Ft. Benning, Ga., and Camp Polk, La.
Surviving besides his parents are brothers James E. Anderson,
Wellsville Rl, Charles Anderson, at home, Elwood Snellbaker, Reading,
and Pfc. Ray D. Snellbaker, in Korea; sisters Barbara Ann Anderson,
at home, and Darlene L. Snellbaker, Reading; paternal grandmother Mrs.
Annie Anderson, Wellsville Rl; maternal grandmother Mrs. Lottie Guise,
Abbottstown, and step grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Claude S Delp, Dover.
