 Wofford Seniors To Enter Service
23 Get Commissions Following
Graduation Exercises Monday

   SPARTANBURG. May 29. --- (AP) --- Wofford college's 88th annual commencement exercises will be launched tomorrow afternoon with the presentation of second lieutenant commissions In the United States army to 23 members of the graduating class.
   The annual alumni banquet will be held at the college at 7:30 o'clock, and class day exercises late in the afternoon at which Fred Gillespie of Walhalla, president of the senior class, will preside.
   Reunions will be held during the day by the classes of 1877, '82, '92,-'02, '07, '12, '17, '22, -27, '32, '37, "39 and '41.
   The commencement program will continue Sunday with baccalaureate sermons by Dr. Harold Lynn Hough of Drew university, Madison, N. and Dr. Henry Nelson Snyder, Wofford president. Chancellor O. C. Carmichael of Vanderbilt university will be the principal speaker at graduation exercises Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Diplomas will be awarded 85 seniors.

   The following men have been ordered to Fort Knox: Fred E. Gillespie, Walhalla; Edmund B. Gregorie, Charleston: Jennings Bryan . Livingston. Woodford; . Thomas C. Ramseur, Cheraw, and Joseph E. Wrightson. Spartanburg.

Lt. Fred Gillespie left last Sunday for Indio. Calif., where he will be located at Camp Young for several months. Lieutenant Gillespie spent last week with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. Frank Gillespie. Mr. and Mrs. Gillespie also had as their guests last week their daughters, Mrs. Udell Richardson of Columbia and MY. Matthew Hendricks and baby of Easley.
