Grave marker application and resulting headstone for Pfc Jettie House  in the Calcutta United Presbyterian Cemetery, Calcutta, Ohio.  Its inscription shows his rank of Pfc, unit as "50u Prcht Inf" as well as the dates of birth and death.

Jettie enlisted in the Army at Akron, OH on 3 Decembe4r 1942.  Pvt House was assigned to Hq 3rd, 508th and completed parachutist training on 12 March 1943.

Pfc House was killed in action on June 7 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart as well as the Combat Infantryman Badge which was awarded posthumously for the Normandy, France Campaign, 6 June 1944 to 9 July 1944.
