FAMILY LEGACY LIVES ON |
Amber Juris, a senior at Viterbo
University, was recently recognized as being among the best future Army
officers in the country.
The Fiscal Year 2006 National Order of Merit List for future U.S..
Army Second Lieutenants just was released. The Commission Review
Board consisted of seven senior officers that together have more than a
century of service to the country.
This board reviewed the files of future Armt officers and put them
into a rank of one to 3,838. Juris was ranked 19 out of 3,838
nationwide. This earned her the honor of being named a Distinguished
Military Graduate.
Juris, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Juris of Amherst, plans
to become a nurse in the U.S. Army. |

as she has her parachutist wings pinned on by a Red Hat NCO during
graduation ceremonies at Ft. Bragg on 13 Aug 2004.
Amber Juris was subsequently commissioned a 2nd Lt. on 13 May 2006 in the
Army Nurse Corps. |
