2/LT DUANE W. MORRIS

Lt. Morris Rites Will Be On Saturday
   CUYAHOGA FALLS Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Saturday at the Weller funeral home for Lt. Duane W. Morris, 22, of 2729 Tifft st., who was killed in action In Holland Oct. 2, 1944.
   Military rites will be In charge of Bob Appleman post 3294, Veterans Veterans of Foreign Wars. Burial will be In Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Flowers are to be omitted.
   Lieutenant Morris had been back in action with his paratrooper division only a month when he was killed. He had been wounded In an earlier Invasion.
   The graduate of Falls high school was employed by the Bell Telephone Co. before entering service.
   He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Jacoby of Stow; three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Buchman of Cincinnati, Mrs. Walter Kramer of Kent, Mrs. William Horner of Stow, and his grandmother, grandmother, Mrs. Frank Marion of the Falls.

Lt Morris was killed in action on 2 October1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart.

His family subsequently received a document in grateful memory of Duane's service and sacrifice bearing President Franklin D. Roosevelt's signature
