Killed In Vietnam Battle

Army Sgt Larry R. Swisher, 21, who quit
the West Point Preparatory School to volunteer for duty
in Vietnam, was killed in the Asian country Sunday
during a battle near Saigon, his family said Thursday.
Swisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Swisher, was a member of the
82nd Airborne Division.

Four New Yorkers Dead in Vietnam

Four more upstate New York servicemen
have died in Vietnam, the Defense Department announced Monday.
Killed in action were Army Sergeants David S. Pellew, Goshen, and
Larry R. Swisher, Buffalo. Marine Pfc David B.
Arnott, Liverpool, was reported to have died of wounds.
On the list of those who died not as a result of hostile action was
Marine Lance Cpl Richard L. Malone, Williamson.

He is also honored on Panel 29W, Row 56 of the Vietnam

Sgt Swisher was awarded the Purple Heart and the New York State
