Grave marker for Pfc Robert E. Union at Plot C Row 13 Grave 46 in the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, France

Pfc Union was killed in action on June 6, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Clyde Smith, also of Company A, recalled, "Robert Union turned to smile at me and was shot dead."
