Lawrence

Jesse is especially happy as he had been captured twice by the Germans but escaped both times. |
Larry
Palmer, in fatigues,
managed a winning First Battalion
baseball team. In Germany, he planned and developed the playing
field, acquired (scrounged) the equipment, recruited the players and
coached the team. |

Marion was wounded on D-Day and died eight days later in an army

Frank J. Pesce
enlisted on Nov 30 1942 and was assigned to the Army Air Corp as
a B-24 tail gunner. He did not like that job and transferred to the
paratroops sometime in 1943.
Frank was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions in combat. |
