Dear Mr. Hill:
We are very pleased to hear that Wyoming was chosen as the site for your
1995 convention of the 508 Parachute Infantry Regiment. It is understood
this is the first meeting of the 82nd Airborne Division Association in
Wyoming.
The fame of the 82nd, together with the 508, is widely known for their
many battles fought in the European Theater of Operations during World
War II. One of the most decorated units during that conflict.
It is hoped you will pass on to the members of your organization that
Wyoming has many areas of interest to visit during, before and after
your convention. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Devil's
Tower (oldest national monument in the U.S.) and Buffalo Bill Historical
Center in Cody and six Wyoming state parks, just to name a few.
Hope to see you in
September of 1995. With best regards, I am
Very truly yours,
/s/ Mike Sullivan
Governor
