       Christmas 1945 saw Santa 'chuting
from his sleigh over Frankfort-Am-Mein and landing in the Officers' Mess.
Many 508th men had received their present earlier when they hit the 85 point
mark and rotated back to the U.S., typically for separation from the service.

       NCO Club Membership
gave the Non-Com's a place to hang out and enjoy a brew or two with their
buddies and tell war stories.  This membership card belonged to
Tec/5 Walter H. Barrett of B Company  Note that while the card was
supposedly required to gain entrance, the cards must not have been
tightly controlled.  Even though there is a place to enter a card
number the area is blank. |

      Casual Control
To further demonstrate that the membership cards must have been a mere
formality, Walter hasn't signed this one even sixty years after it was issued! |

      Harry Evans, Hq Hq
brought home his card as well.  Although the colors have aged differently,
it was issued for the same club in Germany. |
