1945 - Bn moved to 1st Bn area. Into position 2145 hrs.

0500 - Bn moved companies onto LD, Co G on R, Co
H on L then Hqs + Co I. 0545 - heavy continuous artillery fire
thrown at enemy. 0615 - friendly arty concentration for 15 min
but counter artillery very heavy into our area + we suffered quite a
few casualties. 0630 attack started. Excellent progress
made. Cotellerie captured by Co G. Then shift to S and
Co G + H seized Bn objective at ??910 (La Dauderie) 227883. 2
LMGs, 1 motorcycle with tracks, 1 57mm OT gun, 1/2 doz rifles, 8 AWs
from 191st Co of 91st Division. (In?) fields from LO on
captured 12 PWs (2nd Bn 1058?)

assembly area 201867 at 1800 hrs. Departed 2000 for new area
217863 I on L Co H on R, Co G Reserve. On way met weak
resistance. Captured 33 prisoners some from 365 Ort Bn
(Russians) + 3rd Bn 1058 Regt 91st Div. Also 1/4T Spec Body
