BN alerted to attack ridge t0 SW at 0900 hrs. Pinned down at
once 50 yds past LD at 0915. Arty preparation. 1st Sgt
Conrad, Co I, shot thru head, killed instantly.
1st Bn on L, 2nd on R. (co?) 4 (Rn?) fr Co G (reserve) rptd at
LD to work w.S-2 Sec as flank protection to command group and to
bring back prisoners.
